More birdlife at Yelverton Brook in Australia

Red Eared Fire Tailed Finch at Yelverton BrookRed eared fire tail finch

Back about the birds around Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat, the Fire tailed Finch is a delight to the eye with a bright flash of red over his rump and red mask over his eyes and great white spots on his wings, a typical finch sized bird, quick and darting in movements and is fairly quite around the chalet and are used to people so some fine photo opportunities.

The Grey Fan-tailed Wrens are a beautiful soft grey colouring with a great tail that fans open wide and he dances over the lawns looking for and catching bugs another great pest controller – eco friendly style!

I have seen a very young Grey-tailed Wren that was so light that as he danced and a slight gust of breeze made him tipped over onto his beak, they weigh only in the few grams.

The birdlife is a delight to the eye whilst staying at Yelverton Brook some guests just sit in bed with their binoculars and a bird field guide.  Or enjoy a outdoor spa birdspotting with a glass of local wine.
