Reptiles found at Yelverton Brook

Bobtailed Blue Tongue Lizard

The Blue Wren’s are not such a brillant blue colouring as it takes a lot of energy to keep up that vivid blue colouring and as the weather warms up the reptiles are on the move.

Occassional we now see the Bobtailed Lizards around the chalets warming themselves up on the brick pavers, did you know they mate for life!

We have even seen them cuddling in the sunshine, funny you do not think of reptiles as being affectionate.

The micro skinks are on the move and also occassionaly see the Black Skink near home but she is not to friendly and runs and hides at our noisy arrival. She lives near the shed under a pile of timber but her small offspring are often seen in the shed. They are great to have around as they eat all the mice and small rats!
